Supported environments
VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local, Azure Arc and managed private cloud
Private cloud support must reflect the business’s technology. Administration of a VMware environment with vCenter Server and ESXi differs from Hyper-V, Azure Local infrastructure or a private cloud connected to hybrid management tools.
In VMware vSphere, we can help with hosts, virtual machines, vCenter Server, resources, storage, snapshots, performance, incidents and operational maintenance. In Microsoft Hyper-V, we review virtual machines, hosts, virtual networking, storage, performance, updates and associated roles and services.
In hybrid scenarios, Azure Local can provide distributed infrastructure connected to the Azure ecosystem, while Azure Arc can help manage distributed resources in on-premises, edge or multicloud environments. Support needs to cover both the local layer and connected cloud services.
Monitoring and response
Detecting problems before they affect the business
Monitoring is an essential part of private cloud support. It can identify signs of degradation before an outage: low disk space, CPU or memory saturation, latency, storage errors, stopped services, failed backups or unresponsive virtual machines.
We define what should be monitored, which thresholds are appropriate, which alerts are critical, who receives notifications and how incidents are escalated. This gives alerts an agreed purpose and response process.
We can also work with Azure Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix, ManageEngine or other existing tools, provided they fit the technical scope of the service and provide information that supports action.
